Work Opportunity Tax Credit
What is the Work Opportunity Tax Credit?
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit available to employers who invest in American job seekers who have consistently faced barriers to employment. This program provides tax credits to employers who invest in American job seekers who have consistently faced barriers to employment, such as veterans and residents in economically distressed communities.
The IRS reports that in general, the WOTC is equal to 40% of up to $6,000 of wages paid to an individual who:
is in their first year of employment;
is certified as being a member of a targeted group;
and performs at least 400 hours of services for that employer.
By identifying driver candidates who are eligible for WOTC, we can maximize your tax credits. These tax credits can drastically reduce, and in many cases entirely eliminate, the cost of a year of turn-key recruiting services with Bright Flag.
We understand that recruiting and hiring drivers can be a challenging and expensive process. Our new WOTC-focused approach aims to make it easier and more affordable for your business to find the best drivers while saving you money. Contractors have been leaving thousands of dollars on the table every year by not taking advantage of this valuable tax credit.
This is a season where every dollar matters. We're here to help you optimize your margins in creative ways without sacrificing quality support. We look forward to helping you find the best drivers while maximizing your tax credits. Our team is excited to talk to you more about our driver recruiting and WOTC services.
